Pets welcome. 51 km to the north from Ranua municipality center, 72 km to the southeast from Rovaniemi, lake Syvajarvi 70 m (length 0.8 km, width 0.4 km), waterway from the lake to the larger lake Piittisjarvi via strait, shallow beach, soft mud bottom, pier, rowing boat. Wooden house, built in 1981, renovated later. Sofa bed in the living room, double bed in the bedroom, two beds in the another bedroom (width of the second one is 120 cm), double bed in the fireplace room, kitchen, sauna, washroom/WC, separate toilet and covered terrace. The garage shown in the pictures is not in use. Lakeside sauna with steam room and a small dressing area. Lakeside sauna is only for summer use (1.6. – 30.9.). The sauna is equipped with wood-burning sauna stove and water tank connected to the sauna stove. The tank will be used for water heating. Water to the sauna comes from the house by a hose or by carrying. Cooking hut with gas grill and gas burner. You cannot grill with charcoal or an open fire in the cooking hut. There is a separate campfire site on the beach. The destination is located in the immediate vicinity of the road. Toivola is suitable as a holiday home for both nature lovers and family holidaymakers. The location between Ranua and Rovaniemi (on the halfway) offers nice possibilities to explore the attractions and services of both of these places. Illuminated ski trail within 0.3 km distance, length of the ski trail is 2.5 km. Rapid Auttikongas 27 km, Korouoma Gorge Valley 47 km. Ranua Zoo 53 km, services of Rovaniemi city center 72 km, Arctic Circle and Santapark 82 km. Taxi available from the village. Fishing: Lake Simojarvi at the nearest distance of 4 km. The joint permit area of lake Simojarvi covers almost entire lake Simojarvi area. There are several fishing opportunities on this wilderness lake: it is popular as a trolling destination, for example. Several lean-to shelters and boat ramps are located on the lake Simojarvi, it suits well for family camping too (see destination 2587, www.eraluvat.fi). River Simojoki: The river Simojoki is a great destination for fly fishing from the beach. The surest prey fish on the river Simojoki are grayling and pike. If you are fishing on the lower part of the river, you may also get a salmon retuning from the sea. Permit area of Simojoki, Ranua 2580 covers that part of river Simojoki, which runs in the municipality of Ranua. The permit area starts from the border of the municipality of Simo and ends to the lake Simojarvi (see destination 2580 Simojoki, Ranua, www.eraluvat.fi). The river is also great for canoeing. Hunting: State owned small game hunting area is within about two kilometers, see destination 2619 Ranua (www.eraluvat.fi).
