Description
180 km north of Rovaniemi, river Ounasjoki 10 m (river width 80 m), flowing water, hard bottom, water level varies, suitable for experienced swimmers, own boat. Comfortable farmhouse "La Pedriza".
Wooden cottage, built in 1975, expanded in 1990, totally renovated 2019. Bedroom with 2 beds, alcove with a bed (width 140 cm), livingroom/kitchenette with sofabed bed (width 140 cm). Sauna (wood-heated stove), toilet, porch. Entrance to the sauna from the terrace. Shower is located in sauna, which might not be warm enough to take shower if you don't heat sauna first. No fireplace inside. Cottage has water tap; water comes from own well. Campfire site and wooden lean-to shelter in natural state yard. Traditional riverside cottage located 10 km from Levin tourist center. High chair for child on request free of charge. River fishing spots close by the cottage. Island Ketinsaari, located opposite side of the river, has opportunity for short trips. Program services at Levi; snowmobile, canoe and fishing gear rentals, guided excursions e.g. hunting and fishing trips. Distance to Pallas-Yllas National Park 35 km.
