Description

250 km north of Rovaniemi, near the village of Raattama in Ylikyro, Pallastunturi National Park in the immediate vicinity, Porokodanjarvi 270 m, no sight of lake (lake length 200 m, width 120 m), deep shore, muddy bottom. Comfortable farmhouse "La Pedriza".

Owner's two other cottages are also by the beachfront. Vuontisjarvi beach 400 m, along the road 1.2 km. Rowing boat available on lake Vuontisjarvi and on lake Pallasjarvi (15 km away). Log cottage, built in 2002. Kitchen-living room, upstairs bedroom (sloping ceiling) with 2 single beds (second bed's width 120 cm) and living area with 1 single bed (width 120 cm) and sofa bed, balcony. Sauna (electric stove), shower room, separate toilet and a covered porch. Fire place in the yard. Available from the owner only by prior arrangement: cot, highchair and potty. Log cottage in a quiet location at the foot of Pallastunturi. There is smell and taste of iron in the tap water. However, it's examined and safe to use. Client can bring drinking water along. Country skiing trails, hiking trails and other area amenities nearby. A connecting ski trail from the cottage, path to Hetta-Pallas hiking trail and to the views places of the National Park. Owner's hut cafe 300 m away (open in late winter / early spring and in September). In the nearby lake Vuontisjarvi there is perches and also whitefish. Other good fishing spots include lake Pallasjarvi and river Ounasjoki. A pub and a kiosk 0.8 km, hotel Tunturihotelli Vuontispirtti 1.2 km (open only during high season), Reindeer Farm 6.5 km (dining facilities, canoe rentals etc.), Raattama village 8 km (eg. Shop, licensed restaurant and riding stables). Pallastunturi ski slopes 33 km, nature center 33 km. Olostunturi 42 km, Levi 65 km.
